The Quran – a modern English translation as a free PDF e-book. Here is a new translation of the Quran by Talal Itani, who kindly offered Holybooks.com to post it as an ebook. Talal Itani first read the Quran 1992, in order to discredit it. Since then, Talal has been studying the Quran, researching it, and teaching it to others. Talal decided to translate the Quran when he gave up all hope of finding an English Translation that is at the same time highly accurate, and very easy to read. This version of the classic religouos work is the result.

We have several other translations of the Quran, this one though is recommended for new readers.

A verse from the Quran

“When you read the Quran, seek refuge with God from Satan the outcast. He has no authority over those who believe and trust in their Lord. His authority is only over those who follow him, and those who associate others with Him.” – Verses 16:98-100

  1. The Fire of the Almighty will burn the skin of the infidels. The skin is the site of sensation, where the pain of burning is felt, and for this reason, Allah Almighty will replace the burned skin with a new one, to be burned anew, and this will be repeated endlessly: “Those who reject Our Signs, We shall soon cast them into the Fire. As often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins, that they may taste the penalty. For Allah is Exalted in Power, All-Wise.” (Qur’an, 4:56)
    Melting
One of the kinds of torment will be the pouring of Al-Hamim over their heads. Al-Hamim is ultra-heated water; because of its extreme heat, it will melt their innards and everything inside: “… then as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them, boiling water will be poured down over their heads. With it will melt or vanish away what is within their bellies, as well as skins.” (Qur’an, 22:19-20)

    • Huh…Sounds serious. Definitely something to be avoided. This is a bit too close to the Southern Baptist teachings I had inflicted on me in my more formative years. It just doesn’t work for me. I am a bit more of the “peace and love” type myself. But whatever it takes to get you out of be in the morning….

    • it’s only fair that we get a description of paradise and of God’s mercy from the quran’s perspective, paradise is narrated as such
“Verily, the dwellers of the Paradise, that Day, will be busy in joyful things. They and their wives will be in pleasant shade, reclining on thrones. They will have therein fruits (of all kinds) and all that they ask for. (It will be said to them): Salamun (peace be on you), a Word from the Lord (Allah), Most Merciful.” (Quran, 36: 55-58).

As for God’s mercy here are a couple of the verses found in the Quran:
“Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.”” (Quran, 39:53)

“Yet anyone who does evil or wrongs his own soul and then asks God for forgiveness will find Him most forgiving and merciful.”(Quran, 4:110)

The Quran is big on the punishment of the disbelievers. Who is a disbeliever? is it the person who is reading this text with no knowledge of islam or is it the person who has knowledge of islam and knows it to be the truth yet they are not willing to submit to God. Here’s a hint, according to almost all muslim scholar it is those who knows Islam to be the truth yet they reject the message, that person is a disbeliver.

As for the punishment of hell, those who qualifies for such punishment will be picked by God. Perhaps your true aim in quoting those particular verses is to instill fear and disdain into people’s minds so they avoid reading this Quran by mentioning the most severe torments of hell. The punishments are legislated for people who will deny God and cause corruption in the land, that is the reality as the Quran states. As a practical example such punishments can be justified against people like Hitler or Stallion who killed millions.
