The Book of the Law

The Book of the Law. Here you can download The Book of the Law by Aleister Crowley also known as ‘Liber AL vel Legis sub figura CCXX as delivered by XCIII = 418 to DCLXVI. Aleister Crowley comments his short work with his usual sense of darkness and secrecy:

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. The study of this Book is forbidden. It is wise to destroy this copy after the first reading. Whosoever disregards this does so at his own risk and peril. These are most dire. Those who discuss the contents of this Book are to be shunned by all, as centres of pestilence. All questions of the Law are to be decided only by appeal to my writings, each for himself. There is no law beyond Do what thou wilt. Love is the law, love under will. The priest of the princes, Ankh-f-n-khonsu.

    • Firstly, perhaps you might be better gaining a full grasp of the English language prior to reading the book. Names are nouns and require a capital letter to start them off i.e. ‘A’ for Aleiester.

Secondly, using the correct word – ie ‘write’ as opposed to ‘wrote’ in the correct manner would be so much better. Accuracy and understanding of any language is key to comprehension when reviewing the written word and the message that it conveys.

  3. 93. I applaud your efforts, but checking first your downloadable copy of the BOOK OF THE LAW I found a huge chunk of it missing, from II.61 to III.38 and hope that you will soon correct this error as this book, aka LIBER AL VEL LEGIS, is the cornerstone of Thelemic philosophy. Transcribing a book, especially when one is weary from so much of the work, can easily lead to errors. Been there. Done that. Have and wore out the T-shirt. :-) Wishing you good fortune in this venture as there are people who would Restrict access to Crowleyana and other works on religion, mysticism and magic/k for one reason or another. 93-93/93, Kelly

  4. Crowley began with good intentions. He desired freedom and peace for all.
He pretty much mastered all Magick he studied.
His works should be considered as metaphors and as attacks to those who deny you.

It is important to read about him before you read what he did and what he desired. it enables you to see what is humour and what is education in the occult.

His mistake was to flip the tree of life and journey from the end to the beginning.

The most important reason for Crowley is to show you things so you dont have to do them yourself.

And always be aware that he wants to return. He has unfinished business and will do whatever he can to return. He makes no attacks and does wish to cause harm. But makes calculated risks in his attempts.

Love is the Law. Love under will.

Things are given to make you well, but things often come with side effects. Things are done for the greater good.

Commune, rejoice and do what you will. Work together, learn as one. But never become the student of a master who has gone on.

It is like a frog telling a tadpole what it is to be a frog.

  5. During our research on Magic and arcane knowledge, we couldn’t avoid studying Mr. Aleister Crowley. We definitely can say that despite all negative writings about him, we had to admit that he must have been among the few who understood what magic is all about and to drive his point home, he added k, to the word magic to obtain magick. We heartily recommend his books, because they are unique, eye-opening and delightful
