The Struggle of the Magicians – Gurdjieff

The Struggle of the Magicians is a Ballet in five acts by G.I Gurdjieff. He wrote it in 1914 as he build his first groups of students in Skt. Petersburg which laid the foundation for his lifelong work as a spiritual teacher in Russia, Turkey, Germany and France. One of the poems from the Ballet:

God is one for all,
But he is three-fold.
Men err, because he is seven-fold.
In his totality he is one-sounding,
In his division he is many-sounding,
And in another division he is contradictory.
He is everywhere in all forms
